Year 9 and 10 is about developing skills and experiencing working with different medium.
Year 10 practise and extend practical knowledge in art making that will allow students to be successful in Year 11.
Year 9 and 10 is also about developing a positive attitude towards art and being equipped to face challenges in art.

Students develop thinking and practical skills to apply to their artworks.  A broad range of medium is explored through achievement standards culminating in a portfolio of work which is externally assessed.

Students develop a more independent thinking and research direction for their chosen field of art. Students specialize in either photography, painting, printmaking or design.  Achievement standards build understanding towards a portfolio of work in the students chosen field which is externally assessed.

Students work independently to progress their skills and understanding of art.  Students specialize in either photography, painting, printmaking or design.
The year is dedicated to research, development and producing a portfolio
This year undertakes to make a smooth transition to tertiary study.
